Jane Thurber
I am an artist and a landscape architect. I teach in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning at The University of Massachusetts, Amherst. My art work ranges from drawings to collages and mobiles. I explore patterns and rhythms and their influences on one another.
I believe that the language of the visual holds many opportunities to express and give access to complex concepts that are hard to express in words. I am interested in a simple, abstract visual language that allows ambiguity- allowing different points of view, or lenses, to meet in the work.
